Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to upgrade my PC setup next month and I could really use your insights. A while back, I asked for recommendations on what CPU to get, and many of you suggested the AMD Ryzen 7 5700x3d. I'd like to jump on that now since it seems to be getting harder to find in stores.
I plan to upgrade pretty much everything besides my GPU. For context, I'm located in the Philippines, which might limit the parts available to me. Here's my current build versus what I'm planning:
- **Current CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 3600 -- **Upgrading to:** AMD Ryzen 7 5700x3d
- **RAM:** 16 GB 3200 MHz -- **Upgrading to:** 32 GB 3600 MHz (considering Kingston or Corsair)
- **Storage:** 250 GB SSD & 3 TB HDD -- **Upgrading to:** 500 GB NVME SSD (Seagate or Kingston) & 2 TB SATA (Seagate or Kingston)
- **Current MOBO:** B450M K -- **Upgrading to:** B550 A (ASUS or Asrock)
- **Current PSU:** 600W 80+ -- **Upgrading to:** Gold rated 750W 80+ (Seasonic or Corsair)
- **Case:** Tecware Flatline Case -- **Upgrading to:** DK352 (Darkflash)
Any thoughts or recommendations?

It looks like you have a solid upgrade plan! But make sure to pick specific models for your RAM and SSD. I’d recommend checking out the Kingston Fury Beast for RAM — it's a great choice. For your NVME, the Kingston NV3 is decent, but if you can swing it, check out the Samsung 970 Evo as well if it's available for you. It’s faster! Also, the ASRock B550M PRO SE is a good motherboard, just make sure it’s compatible with the 5700x3d. Good luck!
Make sure you check the specifications and reviews for your selected components! I’ve heard mixed things about some of the cheaper SSD brands. Stick with known brands if you can. For RAM, the Kingston Fury Beast is great, just ensure they’re the right ones for your board. Since you're upgrading so much, balance is key!
I’ll keep that in mind! I want the best performance I can get for gaming.
I see what you're going for here! While Kingston and Corsair are safe bets for RAM and SSDs, I’d definitely suggest doing a bit of research on compatibility with your motherboard. As for your PSU, make sure that the Gold rating isn’t just marketing — go with a reliable brand like Corsair or Seasonic as you’ve mentioned! Also, you might want to look into case airflow to ensure everything runs cool. Happy building!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely consider the Samsung 970 Evo if it's within my budget.
