I'm working on my PC build and debating whether I should invest in an additional 512GB or 1TB SSD. My setup includes a 2TB SSD for storage, and I've heard that putting the Windows OS on a separate SSD can speed up load times for games and applications. Is this really necessary, or is it overstated how much the OS affects performance?

You really don’t need an extra SSD. The SSD you've got is already fast enough for gaming. In fact, there's not much difference nowadays between SATA and M.2 NVMe drives when it comes to performance. If you want proof, just check out some comparison videos online! The whole idea about having a separate OS drive is pretty outdated since SSDs have become so much cheaper and faster in recent years. One SSD should be more than enough for your needs.
That doesn’t sound accurate at all. If you’re really worried about loading times, just go for a quicker SSD.
It’s likely that adding another SSD won’t make your load times significantly faster.
You only need one SSD for your system. But I would suggest considering the flash type; the P3 Plus uses QLC flash, which isn’t as durable and can slow down over time. You might want to upgrade to something with TLC flash, like the WD Blue SN580 or TeamGroup MP44L.
