I'm considering adding a feature to my web application that lets users hide all their reviews from their online profiles. One thing I'm concerned about is that if we implement this, it would also hide important reputation markers such as ratings, how many products they've sold, and other stats. I'm curious to know if this is a good idea or if it could lead to issues. What do you all think?

Some reviews are just junk—bots or people who don’t give constructive input. So hiding them isn't totally crazy. Many reviews are fake anyway, so it might not be a terrible idea if implemented well!
Hiding reviews can make your platform seem a bit shady. It might give users the wrong impression, like you’re trying to cover something up. Maybe consider other ways to handle negative feedback instead?
It really depends on what your app is about. If users can hide reviews, people might jump to conclusions that they have bad reviews, which could hurt their credibility. Just saying, context matters here!
Definitely! If users can hide reviews, it might create a trust issue. But if your app's purpose is different, it might not be as big of a deal.
Exactly! Transparency is key in building trust with your users.
