Hey everyone! I'm curious about how AI advancements are affecting job security in web development. I've been in the field for quite some time, but I've noticed that AI seems to be handling a lot of tasks I do. Plus, job applications are overwhelming – each offer seems to attract hundreds of candidates lately. Does this mean I should be worried about my current role? Should I start looking for a different career path, or is there hope for web developers like me? I don't want to be out of work unexpectedly!

AI is definitely impacting entry-level roles, but I think there's still demand for experienced developers. Focus on leveling up your skills to stand out. Taking on freelance or side projects can help, too!

Honestly, I don’t think AI will take over skilled jobs anytime soon. A lot of what you're seeing in job applications could be bots mass-applying for gigs. Employers will still need real developers to filter through those applications. I work in HR, and trust me, the keyword-based applications often don’t even meet the basic requirements!

Exactly! While AI could eliminate some roles, history shows that technology creates new jobs too. People in HR are already feeling the pressure from AI, but it doesn't mean it's the end. Just stay skilled!

I believe the job market is just adjusting. AI will change how we work, but demand for developers will remain. Development skills will still be valuable as long as we adapt. Keep pushing forward!

Realistically, AI will start taking jobs, so it's a good idea to prepare for that. Keeping your skills current will only benefit you in the long run.

I see where you’re coming from, but I think we should be cautious. Some companies are indeed downsizing and implementing AI tools to save costs. It's definitely a scary time for many in our field. Hang on tight and keep your skills sharp!

I hear you! It seems like designers are in a slightly better spot. Though developers generally earn more, designers can leverage AI for code while focusing on high-paying design tasks.

Don't buy into the hype that AI will wipe out software devs in a few years. Sure, AI is reshaping the industry, but there will always be a need for skilled developers. Instead, try to learn how to incorporate AI into your workflow. Adapting is key!
