Hey everyone! After almost 2.5 years of using my PC, I just realized that I've been powering my ASUS TUF RTX3070 with a single cable that has two 8-pin PCIe outputs coming from my Seasonic 750W PSU. The system has run smoothly with just the occasional game crash, but I know it's not recommended to daisy-chain power like this. I've heard that it's not as big of a deal with the 3070, but given I've been using it this way for so long, should I be concerned that my PSU or cables might be damaged? The connectors seem fine—no melting or anything—but could there still be unseen degradation in the cable? I'm planning to upgrade my GPU soon, and I want to ensure I'm not risking damage to it. Are there other parts I should check for damage, or am I overthinking this? Thanks for any advice!

99.99% of the time, as long as you're using a good PSU, you should be just fine with the daisy-chaining. Seasonic is known for making quality power supplies, so you’re likely in good shape.
The second 8-pin connector isn’t even necessary for a 3070; a single 8-pin plus a 6-pin would have sufficed. It seems you're good for now unless you're planning to upgrade to something like a 3080 or 3090, where it might be more of a concern.
Got it! So I really don’t need to worry unless I go for a higher-end card later, right?

That's a relief! Since it’s the SSR-750FX, I assume it’s a solid option then?
