Should I Choose the RTX 5070 or 9070 for 1080p Gaming?

I'm in the process of building my PC and I'm caught between getting the RTX 5070 and the 9070. I know the 9070 is about 5% faster and has more VRAM, but since I'm primarily gaming at 1080p, I'm wondering if that extra cost (almost $100 more for the 9070) is justified. As a student living abroad, I'm trying to keep costs down, so if the 5070 can handle new games at high-ultra settings for at least 5 years, I'd lean towards it. What do you think?

Honestly, for 1080p gaming, the 5070 is more than enough. It’s cheaper, plus it has features like DLSS that will keep your frame rates solid for modern titles. You should easily be set for 5 years with it!

I’d stick with the 5070 for 1080p. Sure, the 9070 is better, but the 5070 is still great, especially given that you’re saving $100. Just check some benchmarks on YouTube if you need reassurance!

Thanks, I watched some videos and saw good performance. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something by not picking the 9070.

Go with the 5070! At that price difference, it's a no-brainer. It’ll handle 1080p gaming just fine without breaking the bank.
