Should I Get a WiFi Booster or Upgrade My Internet Plan?

I'm experiencing some frustrating lag while browsing, even though my download speed is around 90 Mbps. It takes several seconds for pages to load or for images to change when shopping online, and it really interrupts my flow. I'm wondering if I should upgrade my internet plan or if a WiFi booster would make a significant difference. What do you think?

It's important to know that speed and latency are different. Speed refers to how fast data is sent to your device, while latency is the delay in communication. It sounds like you might be dealing with high latency. Have you considered checking your equipment or reducing network complexity to improve performance?

Got it! So how do I fix latency issues?

Just a heads up on WiFi boosters: be cautious with single-channel extenders as they can actually reduce your overall bandwidth. If you need one, look for multi-channel options instead. Alternatively, powerline adapters can help maintain speed by using your electrical wiring to connect your PC to the router.

90 Mbps is generally decent for most activities, but if you're facing delays, it might be more about your connection's latency rather than speed. Have you tried connecting your laptop directly to the router with an ethernet cable? This could help you determine if the issue is with the WiFi signal or your internet connection itself.

I tried that, and it still takes about 3 seconds to load pages. Maybe it's not the WiFi after all.
