Should I Include Docker Skills on My CV if I Only Used It for Deployment?

I'm deploying a Python package in an environment that requires Docker, as the deployment tutorial uses it. I'm wondering if I can list Docker experience on my CV given that my knowledge is quite basic and primarily related to installation. Should I include it or not?

I think you should definitely mention it. You might not know everything, but if you've written a Dockerfile, that’s relevant! Just be honest if you get questions—redirect to your project and explain how you used Docker for it.

It might depend on your knowledge level. If you don’t know much about cgroups, namespaces, or the differences between images and containers, you might face some tough questions during interviews.

Just be ready to talk about what you've done with Docker during an interview. Personally, I categorize my home lab tech in a section at the end of my CV.

You’re kidding, right? You can’t just list it as a skill because watching someone use Docker doesn’t make you an expert—just like seeing a truck doesn’t make you a truck driver.

You can add whatever you want to your CV, but keep in mind that interviewers may ask about everything you've listed, so be prepared to discuss your experience.
