I'm 17 and currently enrolled in an algorithm class by my dad, but I'm studying IT networking. I've tried a little coding with HTML and CSS from YouTube. I'm wondering if I should take programming more seriously or just concentrate on my networking studies since I don't feel passionate about coding.

Honestly, if you’re not into programming, it’s probably not the right path for you. It helps if you enjoy coding — otherwise it can feel tedious. But learning a bit of Python or scripting could be useful for automating tasks in networking, so maybe consider that.

For IT networking, scripting skills—like using Python or Bash—are very handy. If you can integrate some coding knowledge into your plans, it might help you later, but focus on what really interests you.

Why bother if programming isn't your thing? But a little scripting knowledge can still be quite helpful in IT. Think about it: if you enjoy what you learn, you’ll be much more effective!

I got into coding just for fun by building animated websites! It can be exciting to create something from scratch. Even if programming is a huge field, starting with basics like loops and functions can open up options for you. Don't hesitate to try coding; it might surprise you!

If coding doesn't spark your interest, it might not be worth diving deep into it. Programming is demanding, and if you don't enjoy it, you're likely to struggle. However, taking the class could still be beneficial since some programming knowledge overlaps with IT and networking, potentially enhancing your skill set without forcing you to become a master coder.
