Should I stick with RGB RAM or go for non-RGB to avoid blocking?

I'm looking to upgrade my RAM to 64GB since I currently have 2x8GB and want to expand to 32GB. However, I'm facing a dilemma because my dual tower cooler, the Thermalright PA 120 SE, is blocking the view of my RGB RAM. I'm considering two options: buying 2 more 8GB RGB sticks, which is the cheaper option, or going for 4 non-RGB 8GB sticks, which is slightly more expensive. Any advice on which route to take or any other suggestions?

If it were me, I'd consider selling your current memory and getting a 2x non-RGB kit in the capacity you need. With a dual tower cooler, I think the cooler's RGB should take the spotlight instead of the RAM. Mixing RGB with a big cooler often looks cluttered anyway.

Honestly, I’d recommend sticking with the same memory you have now. It helps ensure compatibility and stable performance. But if you're worried about aesthetics, you could adjust your fan setup to better showcase what you're going for, as long as your temps remain safe!

I get what you mean, but personally, I wouldn't mix RGB and non-RGB sticks—just looks messy to me!

Honestly, RGB in a PC can be a bit over the top. Consider just going for a more streamlined look with non-RGB RAM; it keeps things clean.

Another thing to think about is option 3: instead of just aiming for 32GB total, look at getting 4x8GB non-RGB sticks. Just make sure they're fast enough; you definitely want that performance boost, especially if you're on an AMD platform.
