I recently completed my first PC build and I'm curious about the fans located above the power supply unit (PSU) in my Corsair 4000D case. I've set them as exhaust, but I'm not sure if that's the right choice. Should these fans be configured as intake instead?

I agree, there's a lot of differing opinions on this. I installed mine with the blades facing down too, since that matched the orientation of my PSU. Seems fine!
I believe they're intended to be intake fans. However, I don’t think their performance is dramatically impacted by whether they’re exhaust or intake. Their main purpose seems to be to help with airflow to the GPU, but they don't really pull in clean air directly like side-mounted fans would. So, not a huge deal if you kept them as exhaust.
On my Corsair 4000X, I had the front fans as intake, top fans and the rear one as exhaust. It worked great for me!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll consider adjusting based on that setup.
Those fans should be set up as intake. This way, they help push air upwards, aligning with the airflow direction of the GPU's fans above them. Having them as intake can enhance overall cooling efficiency.

Exactly! It just comes down to what works best for you based on your specific setup.
