Struggling to Install Linux on My Laptop, Any Tips?

Hey everyone! I'm having a tough time trying to install Linux (specifically Endeavour OS) on my old Dell Inspiron 15 5000 using a live USB. Despite following several YouTube guides, I keep getting redirected to Windows OS recovery, which just scans my system for issues instead of booting into Linux. I've attempted using both the ISO files from the official site and a torrent download, but Rufus claims the torrent version isn't bootable. I've also tweaked the boot order and ensured it's compatible with UEFI since my laptop only supports that. I've tried flashing the USB with both dd and ISO modes, but nothing seems to work. I have some experience with Linux from using TryHackMe's web VMs, but I'm a newbie when it comes to installation. I'm eager to dive into Linux, but I feel stuck. I even attached a picture of the error I'm encountering, which either leads to that screen or just Windows recovery diagnostics. Any help would be awesome!

You didn't mention how you created the Live USB. I recommend trying Ventoy; it's a great tool for making bootable USB drives. It might solve your booting issues!

Make sure to disable secure boot and fast boot in your BIOS settings. If you're new to Linux, I suggest giving Linux Mint a try, as it's more user-friendly. Running it on VirtualBox can also help you get familiar with it!

Thanks man, yeah that worked! Turns out the system didn’t allow it to run with those settings enabled. I know I shouldn't start on Arch, but I've done some research and it seems like managing my own system would be a lot of fun. If I run into too many issues, I can always fall back on Mint later on. I'm ready to dive into this!
