I'm really considering making the switch to Linux, but I've got a few questions before I dive in. Primarily, I'm curious about how well Linux will perform with VR gaming, specifically with my Valve Index. Also, does the choice of distro really matter since my main uses are gaming and watching movies or YouTube? If there's anything else I need to keep in mind before transitioning, I'd love to hear it!

You should definitely check out some resources on migrating! Just keep in mind that if you have an Nvidia graphics card, it might affect your experience. Movies and YouTube should run smoothly on most distros though.
SteamVR on Linux can be quite a hassle. Just a heads up if VR gaming is a priority for you.
Why not try downloading a live distro? It lets you test it out without making any changes to your current setup.
Yeah, Netflix can be a bit tricky sometimes. Just something to watch out for!
