I'm working with a budget of around $500 for my entire build and I'm considering using a GTX 1070 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 3600. I'm curious to know if this combination is good for playing both online games and story games at mid to high quality in 1080p. Would this setup be effective?

Yeah, the GTX 1070 Ti is a solid card, especially if you can find one used. It should handle most games well at 1080p on mid to high settings without breaking a sweat!

This build sounds pretty familiar to mine! I had a 1660 Super with a 3600X, and it worked great. I could run just about any game I threw at it on medium settings, and some on high. Of course, for really demanding titles like Cyberpunk, you might need to lower the settings, but it was never a huge issue for me.

That's good to know! I'm a bit worried since my friend who knows a lot about PC builds thinks I should go for a 3060 for CS2, but I feel that's a bit excessive for what I want to do.
