Thoughts on My First PC Build?

I'm about to embark on my first PC build, and I could really use some feedback on my parts list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wtGVqH](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wtGVqH). I don't know a whole lot about building PCs, so I'm curious if my choices are solid. I've also been considering open airflow cases because they look cool, but I wonder if that's a bad idea. Any advice?

For a Mini ITX setup, your choices are decent! Just make sure to research the air cooler. The 7800x3d runs pretty hot, and I’m not sure if that cooler will keep it chill enough. The GPU is great, but if you can swing a 5070 or 5070 Ti, that’d minimize any potential bottlenecks with your CPU. Just make sure your PSU can handle any upgrades before you swap things out!

Your build looks pretty good, but I have some concerns about going with a mini case for your first one. It’s going to be cramped, and managing the cables might become a nightmare. Plus, with that Mini ITX case, your cooler options are really limited. I’d suggest at least considering a mATX case for a bit more space. Also, AsRock motherboards can be hit or miss; I've seen reports of CPU frying with some models, especially in the older AMD series. Maybe look into a different brand to be safe.

Just a heads up, you may regret using such a small case. It can work, but you might be cursing up a storm while building it. Just be prepared for a tight fit!

You might want to think about changing the CPU. I’d personally recommend going for a 9600x paired with a 9070 xt. Just a thought!
