I've been researching and planning for my next PC build, and I'm excited to share it with you all! My current setup is really struggling with demanding games, so it's time for an upgrade. You can check out my planned build here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wK4P4p. I'd love to hear what you all think - any suggestions for changes or improvements? Thanks in advance! 😄

It seems like you're spending a bit too much without getting the best performance for your money. For one, the 9900X isn't great for gaming in comparison to what else is available. Plus, your RAM choice isn't quite right for AM5 setups. Like you said, PCIe 5.0 drives are way overkill for gaming right now; you'd be better off with something cheaper but still reliable. Oh, and check out this improved build that fits your needs better: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/W9rpTM.
Oh wow, thanks a lot! It's great to know I'm not too far off, but I definitely appreciate the tips! Saving $800 is a huge plus, too! I thought I had to stick with PCIe 5.0 for AM5, but now I see that isn't necessary!
You're probably overshooting on a few components and mismatching some parts. For instance, consider swapping your CPU cooler for something more budget-friendly, like the Arctic Liquid Cooler III; it's just as good but cheaper. Also, I see you've got a microATX motherboard in an ATX case - looks empty. Go for a full ATX board. If you want 64GB of RAM, get 2x32GB at 6000MHz; that'll save you headaches. Additionally, a PCIe 4.0 drive like the KC3000 would be quite sufficient without overspending. As for the GPU, either get a reasonably priced 5070ti or a better option like the 5080. Lastly, don't forget to opt for an ATX PSU, as SFX is more for compact builds. And take a look at some x3d chips which are better for gaming.
This info is super helpful! Now I can make sure that everything fits well and is efficient. I definitely don’t want mismatched parts!
You've got a nice case! Just a heads-up: it probably won't come with any fans, so make sure to grab those if you haven't already. Also, consider going for an SSD that includes DRAM, as your current choice doesn't have it. Here's a great database for SSDs with DRAM to help you find suitable options: https://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/
Thank you! I love that case, too, especially the color scheme. I'll definitely check out the SSD options before I buy everything. And yes, fans are on my shopping list!

I was worried about the price-performance ratio too. Glad that you pointed things out!
