I'm having issues with my laptops that are connected to a Windows Domain. Whenever they're off-site, they seem to struggle with accessing the internet. Can anyone help me figure out what might be causing this? Any advice would be appreciated!

From my experience, there’s nothing about being on a domain that should inherently block internet access, so it sounds like a configuration issue. We really need more details to help you out. For instance, can you replicate the problem with a mobile hotspot? Can the laptop ping 8.8.8.8 successfully? That info would be super helpful.
If everything's set up properly, your laptops shouldn’t have trouble accessing the internet at all. Can you provide more info so we can help troubleshoot further?
Have you checked if they're trying to use your on-prem DNS when they're off-site? That could definitely cause issues. Sometimes the connection fails just because it can't reach the DNS server.
It’s unclear why you’re mentioning the Windows domain. Do you have any identical laptops that aren’t on a domain that can connect to the internet just fine when off-site? This might help clarify the issue.
I thought it couldn't be DNS, but it ended up being the culprit in my case!
