I'm having a bit of trouble connecting my 8-pin CPU power wire. It used to be securely attached, but now it's come apart and I can't get it reconnected properly. I'm considering getting a new power supply unit (PSU) because of this issue. Any suggestions?

Have you tried connecting the smaller part of the 8-pin first? After that, you can connect the larger section. That might help get them seated properly!

I'll give that a shot! Just wanted to make sure I have them both seated well. I’ll post a picture in a moment.

Make sure you're using the right connector. You can’t force a PCIe 6+2 into an EPS 4+4 slot, for instance!

It is the correct 4+4 connector; they snap together but I couldn't get them to stay connected. I ended up connecting each pin individually.

It's important that all power cables are connected securely! If you're having issues, definitely double-check the connection.
