Hey everyone, I'm in the process of upgrading my graphics card from a 2060 to a 9060 XT, and I've run into a bit of a snag. After uninstalling the drivers in Safe Mode and shutting down my PC to swap out the cards, I'm not getting any display output at all. I'm using an HDMI cable since I don't have a DisplayPort, but the new GPU does have an HDMI port, so I doubt that's the problem.
When I plug in my old GPU, everything works fine, but with the 9060 XT installed, the fans don't spin and there's no sign of life—no LED indicators to check either. It's properly seated, I'm pretty sure about that. This issue already happened when I first attempted the upgrade about a month ago, so I'm starting to wonder if I'm missing something obvious. My system is from 2020, making most components quite old. Could my motherboard being five years old and the BIOS not updated in that time be causing this, or is there something specific I need to do in the BIOS?

If the fans aren't spinning, it could definitely indicate a power issue. Double-check to ensure the GPU is properly plugged into your PSU and that the PSU is sufficient for the new card. Also, updating your BIOS might help, but I’d look at power connections first.
Have you checked the power connector for the 9060 XT? Different models require different power cables, and if it's powered improperly, it won't work. Make sure you're using the right cables for your card!
Yes, I'm using an 8-pin PCIe cable. I found the GPU on Amazon if that helps clarify.

Agreed! Also, if you haven't already, try reseating the GPU. Sometimes a loose connection can cause no output.
