Hey everyone! I'm struggling to install Linux Mint Cinnamon on my dad's old Mac desktop, which is running Mac OS X El Capitan. I can boot from a USB drive, but when I try to install it, I keep getting various errors like 'Can't install grub' or 'the installer failed.' I even encountered an error code 10 at one point. Just to clarify, there's no Mac OS on the machine anymore, and neither partitioning nor just erasing the disk to use only Linux is working for me. Someone suggested installing without WiFi, but that didn't help either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to try searching for your specific Mac model on forums dedicated to Linux on Mac. There's a good chance someone else has come across the same issues and might have posted solutions there. Good luck!
