Hey everyone! I encountered a frustrating problem with my desktop recently. It got unplugged while it was in sleep mode, and when I booted it back up, I was hit with a blue screen shortly after starting, showing a "Memory Management" error. This isn't the first time I've faced this; it was happening before it was unplugged too. I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool, and it indicated a hardware issue, which is pretty concerning. While checking the Task Manager, everything seemed normal regarding the RAM—what's installed matches what shows up on the system. I did a restart and updated my PC last night, and oddly enough, it seems to be running fine now. However, I'm worried if there's an underlying hardware issue. I've read that blue screens can arise from faulty RAM or even storage problems. I'm looking for your opinions and advice on how to proceed or identify the root cause. Here are my specs:
- Ryzen 7 3700X
- Nvidia 3060
- 4x16 GB DDR4 3200MHz
- Asus ROG Strix B550-F
- 2TB Hard Drive
- 1TB SSD
Thanks in advance!

How long have you been using the 4 RAM sticks? Sometimes if they've not been used together for long, one might develop issues. If you’ve recently upgraded from 2 to 4, it's worth checking if one of the added sticks is faulty. You could run a memory test for each stick individually using Memtest86 to see if one fails the test. That'll help narrow things down!
It sounds like you could be dealing with a RAM issue indeed. First thing you might want to do is check for any dump files in the C:WindowsMinidump folder. These files can give you more insight into the BSOD events. If you can access Safe Mode, that could be a good start. Make sure you zip any dump files you find and upload them to a file-sharing service so they can be analyzed. Having multiple dump files helps with a more thorough investigation. There are also guides available to change the dump file settings if you don’t have that option yet!

I think I’ve been running the setup for a couple of months now, and I upgraded to the four sticks after building it initially. Do you really think one of the new sticks could be bad?
