Hey everyone! I have this concept for a social media platform, and I've already created a decent wireframe, mock-up, and prototype using the Replit app. But I'm feeling a bit lost on what to do next. I know there's more to launching a platform than just having those things, especially when it comes to hosting and other essentials. I'd love some insight on what my roadmap should look like from here to actually make my idea a reality.

You're off to a great start with your prototype! The next step is to create a minimal version that can run online, even if it only includes the basic features. Set up a backend for user management and posting, and host it on a shared server initially. Once you have that up, invite a few users for feedback to improve the platform.

Focus on defining your MVP—your minimum viable product. Write out the core features you'll need. The easiest initial step is to register a domain and set up a simple one-page marketing site to attract investors. Then, look for experienced developers who can help build this out.

You should start by conducting a thorough business analysis and creating a solid business plan. After that, you’ll need to look for funding or potential partners because many ideas fail if they don't pass the business viability test.

Honestly, you might want to think twice. Many people are tired of social media as it stands, and younger folks often steer clear of new platforms since they associate them with older generations. There may not be a viable market for what you're trying to create.

Don't let the naysayers get to you! It’s definitely possible to build it yourself if you're dedicated. Sure, it’s a lot of hard work, and a team can certainly help, but if you’re willing to put in the effort, you can make it happen.
