I'm trying to figure out which managed disk types offer the best value for money. I'm particularly confused about when to choose between Standard HDD, SSD, and Premium options. Any advice on which ones provide the best performance for the cost?

You could use any type and enable performance options for higher IOPS, but if you're after the best deal, Premium SSD v2 is the way to go. It's close to the price of Standard SSD and you don’t pay extra for IOs. Definitely worth checking out!

The choice really varies based on your use case. If you're running MySQL versus static webpages, you'll definitely see different results and needs between them!

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you're after more storage for less cost, Standard HDD can be a win, especially if your speed and IOPS needs aren’t huge. So, you can either go fast or cheap, typical Azure tradeoff.

Totally! IOPs are key. Premium drives without enough IOPS perform terribly, kind of like old IDE HDDs from the '90s.

Between Standard HDD and SSD, they offer similar performance ratings, but SSD gives you a service-level agreement (SLA). That said, for databases or any IO-intensive work, you’ll want Premium V2 — it's a solid value!

Good point! I should look into Premium SSD options. I’ve heard they can be more cost-effective than Standard SSD if used carefully.
