I've been out of web development for a while and I'm looking to dive back in and build a few websites again. I used to work with Dreamweaver and Bootstrap templates, but I've noticed the landscape has changed quite a bit. Recently, I helped a friend with a site on Wix, and it's definitely a different experience! I'm curious about what everyone else is currently using. I know WordPress was popular before, but I'd almost prefer going back to Bootstrap, even if it feels a bit outdated. It seems like a lot of developers are leaning towards website builders these days, probably due to the convenience of prebuilt components. Any advice or suggestions would really help since I'm a bit out of the loop!

The good news is that everything you learned previously is still relevant! The main shift now is that developers tend to separate design, build, and hosting. For quick projects, tools like Webflow or Framer are great as they allow you to handle both coding and layout in a visual way. If you enjoy coding, Bootstrap is still in play but it's often combined with frameworks like React or Next.js. WordPress remains a staple for content-driven sites, but it's now lighter and more modular. Focus on tools that prioritize speed and flexibility so you can make updates easily without a hassle.

Thanks for the advice! Do you have any recommendations for where I can find templates to work with? I'm thinking about grabbing some prebuilt ones to practice designing for clients.
