I've noticed that a lot of spam seems to come from Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers and their IP addresses. I've taken the step to block almost all of their IP ranges, except for a few that a vendor uses. So far, I haven't experienced any immediate negative effects. Can anyone explain why there's so much spam originating from AWS, and what the potential consequences of blocking all their IPs might be?

It really depends on what kind of spam you're dealing with. If it's bots crawling your site, blocking those specific AWS IP ranges associated with them might help.
That makes sense. I’ve had issues with crawlers bypassing my security settings since they hit from AWS IPs directly.
