I've been using my MSI laptop for about two years, and lately, it has been freezing more often. While checking the task manager, I noticed that 7-Zip Console was running. Whenever I try to click on it, it disappears as if it's trying to hide. I'm not sure what it is, and I don't want to have a crypto miner or anything suspicious on my PC. Also, I'm running Windows 11—any insights would be appreciated!

7-Zip is legitimate software that usually runs in the background. It’s integrated with Explorer to help you compress or decompress files with an easy right-click option. If you really don’t want it on your system, you can easily uninstall it through the Control Panel.
7-Zip is a widely recognized program used for creating and extracting zip files and other archive formats. If you're concerned about malware, you might want to run a scan with Windows Defender to check for any issues.
The 7-Zip Console is typically just the command line version of 7-Zip. It’s common for various applications to use it in the background to unpack files, so it shouldn’t be a cause for concern unless it's running from a suspicious location. Check the file path in your task manager. If it’s from the usual 7-Zip folder, you’re likely in the clear. Running a malware scan just to be safe could be a good idea.
