I've loved using Arch for its customization options, speed, and the AUR, but I'm really intimidated by the manual interventions it requires. I've never used it extensively but the thought of having to constantly monitor my system is discouraging. I find myself going back to Windows even though I prefer Linux. I'm looking for a distro that gives me a similar experience to Arch but is less demanding in terms of maintenance. Any suggestions?

If you're not into having another hobby to manage, I suggest going with a more user-friendly distro like Kubuntu LTS, Linux Mint, or Fedora with KDE. They offer great stability without needing constant tweaks.
For something really low maintenance, consider using CachyOS; it sets up everything for you and is quite forgiving if something goes wrong. If you're worried about updates breaking things, this could be a good fit!
Yeah, I'm curious about that too! How well does it actually deal with issues?
Honestly, once you get used to the kind of updates Arch requires, it's not so bad. But if you want something more laid back, Mint, Fedora, or ZorinOS are solid picks. Just remember, anything based on Arch will need some maintenance.
You're definitely not alone. I made the switch to something hands-off too. You might want to try Debian or Ubuntu-based systems like Mint or Zorin. They offer a good balance of features without the fear of breakage.
Fedora is a great option. It combines stability with up-to-date packages and a fantastic implementation of both GNOME and KDE. It's really a perfect middle ground for ease of use and functionality.

Does it handle breakages automatically, or is there still some manual work involved?
