I'm looking to switch my current setup from Windows 11 to Linux and need some advice on which distribution would work best for me. Here are my specs:
- Intel Core i9 11900 @ 2.50GHz
- 32GB Dual-Channel DDR4 @ 1330MHz
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
- 447GB Kingston SSD
- 894GB ADATA SSD
I've tried out Mint, Fedora, and Ubuntu but I'm searching for something that fully utilizes my i9 processor and RAM. I prefer a more user-friendly interface, similar to Windows, like Mint or Zorin. I've heard good things about Pop!_OS, especially for enhancing performance with software like Blender, OpenToonz, DaVinciResolve, VSCode, Godot, Unity, and ClipStudioPaint, as well as running Wine. Any recommendations?

I suggest trying different distros by installing them and testing them based on your specific needs. I started with Mint, but had some GPU issues. Eventually, I switched to CachyOs, which has been great for me without any crashes when using Godot and other apps.
Mint would be a safe choice since it's user-friendly and very similar to Windows. However, if you want something that could better utilize your RAM and processor, Pop!_OS is definitely worth a shot. It's designed with creators in mind and handles gaming graphics quite well.
Honestly, any of those distros are going to work fine with your hardware. They all manage the resources of your processor and RAM quite efficiently. If you’re into graphic design or gaming, some may have better support or features, but overall they all should run smoothly on your setup.
