I'm looking for some help in choosing a Linux distribution. I usually play games and have some daily tasks to handle. Currently, I'm running FSOS, which is a custom version of Windows. It's essential for me to ensure that everything works seamlessly on my Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9 Gaming Laptop, which features an Intel Core i5-12450HX, 24GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. Also, I want to avoid any driver issues, so I need something that will be compatible with my hardware.

You should definitely check out Distrowatch.com. They rank the top 100 Linux distros, and right now, CachyOS is at the top of the list. It’s based on Arch Linux, and I've been gaming on it with Steam without any issues.
I’d recommend looking into Bazzite, Nobara, or Cachy/Garuda. They all have solid support for gaming and should work well.
which among these do you prefer? (ik its a real stupid question )
If you go with Linux Mint Debian Edition, the software manager has an NVIDIA settings app which could be really helpful. Just make sure to double-check the drivers on the NVIDIA support site for your particular graphics card model, just to be safe.

alright, thanks
