I'm thinking about replacing Mac OS on my 2013 Mac Pro (the trashcan model) with a Linux distribution, but I'm not sure which one to choose. I used to use Ubuntu ages ago and recently found a distro called Zorin OS, which looks promising. My Mac is equipped with a 3.5GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5 processor, dual AMD FirePro D500 graphics, 32GB of 1866MHz DDR3 ECC RAM, and a 1TB SSD. I'm looking for a stable and well-performing OS that suits these specs. Any suggestions?

Zorin OS seems to be a great choice, and it's user-friendly for those transitioning from Mac OS. Plus, your hardware specs are solid enough for many Linux distributions. If you want something straightforward to start with, definitely give it a try!
For something more adventurous, you could try EndeavorOS. It gave me a great experience on my older Macs. The setup is a fun ride, and it performs well!
With your specs, you're in good shape! Almost any Linux distro will run smoothly. Ubuntu is a classic pick for beginners; Zorin has a similar feel to macOS which might make the transition easier. But don't overlook Fedora or Linux Mint, they're also solid choices!
Linux Mint is super user-friendly; it might be the best place to start for a smooth experience.
You might want to consider OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. It’s a rolling release, which can be great for staying updated without headaches. Plus, they have easy rollback options if anything goes wrong!
If you want a tailored experience, Gentoo lets you install exactly what you need from scratch. It might take some effort to set up, though. But once it's running, you can shape it to your liking!

Fedora is quite polished too! I’ve had a good experience with it on various setups.
