What Motherboard Should I Get for Ryzen 5 5800X3D and 5070 Ti to Play Rust?

Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a new PC and I'm not sure what motherboard to get for my Ryzen 5 5800X3D paired with a 5070 Ti graphics card. I have a Bequiet Rock Slim 2 cooler, which I thought would do fine. Previously, I was using an i7 11700K and got around 50-100 fps in Rust. With the X3D, I'm hoping to hit 120-150 fps, especially since I want to stream. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

If you haven't bought the 5800X3D yet, consider looking into AM5 motherboards for future upgrades, but the 5800X3D will pair just fine with a 5070 Ti for playing Rust. For that combo, either a B550 or X570 motherboard would be the best route to go. Just keep in mind that the Bequiet Rock Slim 2 is a bit on the smaller side for cooling; you might want a cooler with more heatpipes like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit, which is solid and budget-friendly!

Not yet, but I don't have the budget for AM5 right now. Thanks for the motherboard tip! I'm definitely checking that out. Also looking into the Phantom Spirit!
