I've been digging into Cloudflare's services lately, especially after experiencing some disruptions during their scheduled maintenance. As someone who's new to this, I'm curious about a couple of things. I'm often seeing comments suggesting that if I'm blocked from a site due to Cloudflare, I should just contact the site's admin and explain the situation. However, how do I actually find and reach out to the admin of a site I'm blocked from? It seems like the blocking page doesn't always provide the contact info I need, especially for poorly set up sites. Additionally, I've recently stumbled upon complaints from other sites claiming that Cloudflare imposes restrictions on their domains. Can someone shed some light on what this really means for a website? Is this issue only relevant if I was a previous customer of theirs, or does it affect all users? Thanks for any insights!

A good starting point to contact a site admin is to use 'whois' to look up their registration details. However, keep in mind that many smaller sites often have their contact information hidden for privacy reasons. If they’ve opted for privacy protection, you might not be able to get their email directly.
Absolutely! In fact, if the domain is registered in Europe, privacy is typically a given due to GDPR regulations. That makes it tougher to reach out.

That's true! I manage a large portfolio of domains, and we have privacy enabled for all of them. It’s a popular choice, especially for businesses, so don’t be surprised if you can’t find the info you're looking for.
