What Should I Do After Accidentally Visiting a Suspicious Site on My Phone?

I accidentally clicked on a sketchy site while trying to find my old art account from Tumblr. After searching for my username, I came across some weird website names that I thought were accounts reposting my old art. Once clicking on one of the sites, it claimed I had 44 viruses on my phone. I knew that was false, so I tried to go back, but a strange video popped up asking for a VPN to view it. I kept hitting 'back' until I returned to the Google page. Now, I can't find any information on those sites, TumbleSpot and TumbleNest, and I'm concerned about possible malware. Can someone explain what happened? Is my phone in danger?

Totally understandable! It can be scary running into those pop-ups. Just remember that real threats usually won't show up that way. Keep your software updated and stick to trusted sites in the future.

If you kept your phone updated, you likely avoided any real harm. It's good that you were cautious and didn't download anything. Just keep an eye on your phone for any strange behavior, and you're probably in the clear. No need to panic!

It sounds like you encountered scareware. That type of site tries to frighten you into downloading something, like a fake antivirus or paying for a VPN. As long as your phone has the latest updates, you should be fine! Just clear your browser history and don't click on anything else from unverified sites.
