I'm getting a new phone from Amazon today and will be trading in my old one. I've already backed up all my important stuff like photos, videos, apps, chats, call logs, and messages. I've also deleted anything I didn't need and I plan to do a factory reset on my old phone. I've even removed some sensitive pictures from my Google locked folder, but is there anything else I should take care of before handing over my phone to ensure my privacy is fully protected?

A factory reset is definitely the way to go. Many phones encrypt the files first and then delete them, making it really hard for anyone to recover your data after that.
Resetting is all you need; once you do that, it clears the encryption key, and your data should be safe.
Just reset the phone and make sure to remove your SIM card. That should cover all your bases!
