I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a GTX 1650 to an RTX 4060. I know I need to connect the 8-pin cables from my 600-watt power supply to the new GPU, but I want to know if there's anything else I should keep in mind during this upgrade process.

Honestly, you might want to think twice about getting the 4060. There are better alternatives out there like the B580, or options like the 5060/9060XT 8GB (if they're only around $30 over MSRP), the 3070, or the 6700XT/6750XT. If you can save a bit more, the 9060XT 16GB offers fantastic performance. Plus, all these cards are compatible with your 600W PSU.
As long as you're using a current driver, it should be pretty straightforward. Just plug it in and you should be good to go! If you run into issues later on, you might want to reinstall the driver. If that doesn’t help, DDU can be a lifesaver for troubleshooting. But honestly, most of the time, Windows will recognize the driver automatically and everything will work smoothly.
Someone else mentioned the 9060XT too. If I go for that, do I need to uninstall my Nvidia drivers and get new software?
