Last Friday, my Google account got hacked. The intruder changed my account settings, making it a child account and themselves the parent. Now, I can't recover the account using G.co/Recover because it asks for their permission to sign in. Can anyone provide help or suggestions?

Yeah, it's really concerning. If it's linked to your Reddit account, you should be extra worried about losing access there as well. Have you tried any other recovery methods or reaching out to friends who might help verify your identity?
That's rough, man! I've had my Gmail for years too. If you can recover your account, you should definitely do it ASAP because it’s connected to everything else. Google Support might ask you for some info to verify that you’re the real owner. Good luck!
If the recovery options aren't working, it might be tough to get your account back. Unfortunately, if they’ve set themselves as the parent, you could be locked out for good. You should try reaching out to Google Support directly for help—they might have additional recovery steps for cases like this.
