I'm having trouble ripping CDs with my Mac. I used to be able to do it through the music app without issue, but now I keep getting an error message that says, "an error occurred while converting the file. The required file cannot be found." I attempted to download X Lossless Decoder to see if that would help, but I couldn't use it because it wouldn't scan for malware. I'm unsure how to proceed, and I could really use some advice!

Have you tried using iTunes? I know the music app is technically iTunes, but sometimes switching to the official iTunes app itself can resolve these issues.
You might want to try using XLD or fre:ac for ripping your CDs. When you import them, make sure to select Apple Lossless or AAC if you want them in Apple Music or iTunes. By the way, I’m not really sure what you meant by not being able to scan for malware—did you download something that could be a fake virus scanner? Typically, Macs don't have that issue. Just a tip: sometimes, for newly installed apps, you need to open them directly from the applications folder first to authorize their use.
I don’t download anything, so that wouldn’t be possible. I’ve ripped multiple CDs as WAV files before, and they’re all fine in my music app. I tried opening it from the applications folder, but it just tells me to move it to trash. I’m really stumped.
Omg, I figured it out! I just had to go to settings and select "open anyway," and it worked!

That’s what the music app is! I’ve been able to rip CDs fine before, but I’m facing issues now.
