What Upgrades Should I Consider for My PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my pretty outdated PC and could use some advice on what to prioritize. My current setup is an HP OMEN 25L Desktop GT11-0xxx with these specs: Intel Core i5-10400, Nvidia GTX 970, and 16GB of RAM (2x8GB). I have a 512GB WDC WD BLACK SSD as well. Should I focus on upgrading specific components, or is it better to start fresh with a new build?

A good place to start would be with the GPU! Upgrading to something like a B580 or a 9060/5060 would provide a huge performance boost. You might spend around $250 to $300, which could effectively double your performance. The CPU is decent for upgrades but not the top priority. Just make sure your power supply can handle a new GPU.

Since you're primarily gaming, definitely prioritize the GPU. If you're on a budget, look for decent mid-range options. Just keep in mind that you might need a new power supply depending on the GPU you choose; costs can vary a lot from $200 to $1000. It's important to find something that fits your budget but still gives you a noticeable upgrade.
