Hey everyone! I'm planning to sell my custom-built PC since I'm moving abroad. It's getting a bit old, so I'd love your advice on what would be a fair price. Here are my specs:

- i5-9600K
- GTX 1080 Ti
- 16GB RAM (DDR4 - 3000)
- 3TB HDD
- 512GB M.2 SSD
- Gigabyte Z390 Pro WiFi

I was thinking around $600, but I might be off the mark. What do you guys think? Thanks a lot!

It's a dead platform with the Z390, so keep that in mind. The 1080 Ti is nearly at the end of its life cycle. Without RAID setup, the buyer would need to buy additional hardware for that. Max you might get is $400, if you're lucky.

I'd say you're looking at about $300 to $350. A lot of sellers think they can get back 50-70% of what they paid, but you really need to think from the buyer's viewpoint. New parts are getting faster and cheaper every year. I paid 900€ for a GPU this year and would expect to sell it for 700€, but realistically, I'd probably only get about 400€ because newer GPUs are available for less.

You might get around $300 if you're lucky with the sale.

Honestly, you're looking closer to $450. The GTX 1080 Ti is a legend, but it's getting old in terms of driver support. Plus, the i5-9600K is around 7 years old now, and 16GB RAM is pretty much the new minimum. HDDs are also falling out of favor these days.

Yeah, I agree. That seems reasonable but maybe still a bit optimistic. The 1080 Ti will still have collectors who want it, though, so you might find someone willing to pay a little more.

How quickly do you want to sell it? If you’re in a hurry, you could go as low as $200. If you can wait a few months, $350 might be more realistic. But if you want to hold out for a while, good luck getting that $600!
