I recently built my PC about a month ago and I wanted to check what a safe CPU temperature is, especially since I'm using silent fans and running everything at a low setting. This morning, I noticed that my CPU is at 45.5°C. Is that temperature okay?

For reference, my i9 13900K idles around 40-50°C with a 360mm MSI AIO cooler.
It's useful to know what CPU and cooling system you're using. Idle temps aren’t as critical as load temps. I recommend checking out some benchmark tests to see how hot your CPU gets under full stress. If it doesn't throttle, you're in good shape; the rest is a matter of preference.
There are various factors like ambient temperature and the specific processor you have, but 45.5°C at idle is pretty normal. Load temps should ideally be around 70-80°C. Try to stay below 90°C; many CPUs can handle it, but it's better to play it safe.
In general, you want to keep temps below 85°C, but this can differ based on the exact CPU model you have.
Generally, anything under 90°C is fine when the CPU is under load. But if you're just browsing or playing a simple game like solitaire, then those temps might seem high. Some AMD processors can even handle temps up to 100°C.
