I've been feeling really frustrated lately because I can't seem to find the copy and paste options when I right-click on files or folders in Windows 11 anymore. My older relative, who usually follows my simple instructions for copying and pasting, ended up dropping a folder in the wrong place, and I spent a lot of time searching for it. I'm just looking for a clear explanation of why these features have changed or if they're even still available. Any insights would be really appreciated!

They might have expected people to shift to using keyboard shortcuts more often. If you’re used to using the mouse for everything, the change can feel frustrating. The options are technically still there, just not in the same way we’re used to seeing them.
You can still copy and paste, but it’s now more of a button situation rather than simple text options in the menu. The Cut, Copy, and Paste options are now icons at the top of the right-click menu. It can be a bit confusing, especially for someone who's used to the old layout!
Yeah, but if you’re not familiar with those icons, it’s a hassle. My family’s not tech-savvy, and a clear menu option was way easier for them.
I get the struggle! It can seem like they took away the easy options, but they’re actually just hidden up top now. If you press 'More Options,' you can see the old-style menu again, which might help older users find what they’re looking for more easily.
Thanks, I’ll definitely show that to my relative! It might help them feel more comfortable.
Honestly, I prefer the old way, too. It feels clunky now with icons taking over, and I often end up clicking the wrong thing while I'm waiting for the menu to load. It's just not as intuitive!
Agreed! I still do Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, it's quicker—but for family, that right-click was a lifesaver.

Totally! It would be nice if they had an option to switch back to the old style for those who find it easier.
