I'm looking to get started with Linux but I need some recommendations for a beginner-friendly distribution. I have an Intel Celeron N4500 laptop that comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage. Currently, I mostly use Windows as my primary OS and occasionally ChromeOS. What distro would work best for my setup?

Honestly, for a system like yours, Linux Mint XFCE is a solid choice. It's lightweight and should run pretty well on your laptop.
Actually, it's an Asus VivoBook Go I got mainly for online classes. It originally had Windows 11 S, which didn't do me any favors, so I switched to ChromeOS Flex. It’s a bit quicker now, but I figured I'd give Linux a shot since I’m learning the terminal on ChromeOS!
