What’s the Best CPU Cooler for an i7 13700F?

I'm currently using an Intel i7 13700F and I'm on the hunt for a good air cooler. I've been looking at the Noctua NH-D15, but I'm a bit worried about RAM clearance since my RAM is 34.9mm tall and installed in the first and third slots. Plus, I can't go over 170 mm in cooler height. Any recommendations?

Several good options: Noctua NH-D15S, DeepCool Assassin IV, Noctua NH-U12A, or Scythe Fuma 3. If worried about RAM clearance, the NH-D15 can work if you use just one fan or raise the front fan a bit for taller RAM. Also, it's better to use slots 2 and 4 for RAM. Why do you have them in 1 and 3?

You might have misunderstood. It’s not wrong to use those slots, but technically, slots 2 and 4 are preferable for dual-channel memory performance. Just follow your motherboard's manual!

For best value, consider Thermalright or ID Cooling. They offer solid air coolers that won’t break the bank.

Personally, I go for the Dark Rock Pro. I just trust air coolers over water ones; they have a much lower chance of failing and causing problems for your PC.

The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120mm SE has been a go-to for years! It provides great cooling performance, runs quietly, and is well-priced.

Check out some comparisons online. You can verify the clearance of the cooler with your RAM height too. Just make sure to double-check that!
