I'm looking for the right Linux distribution to start using, especially since I'm a gamer and a fresh IT student. I've dabbled with a couple of versions like Ubuntu and Fedora through a VM, but my old computer didn't hold up, and I was mainly using the terminal for schoolwork. I've been a dedicated Windows user since '98, but with Windows 11's negative reputation and my own issues with Windows 10, I'm eager to switch. I want to get back into gaming and streaming, but I'm unsure which games will run smoothly on Linux. Here are my main questions: 1.) Which of these games won't work on any Linux distro, with or without streaming?: Valheim, Once Human, Final Fantasy XIV, ARK: Survival Ascended, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, The Sims 4, House Flipper, Enshrouded, Old School RuneScape, Minecraft, Genshin Impact. 2.) What Linux distro would be the best choice for a newbie who wants to game and stream while also juggling college studies?

Give CachyOS a shot. It's Arch-based and has been working well for my son; he switched from Windows and runs all his Steam games fine. I’ve also been checking out WinUX, which mimics Windows while being based on Ubuntu 24.04. Feels pretty familiar!
You can try PikaOS; it’s getting good reviews lately and might suit your needs!

Awesome! Does it support Streamlabs OBS? That would be a game changer for me!
