With official support for the 1080Ti winding down, I'm looking for a good Linux distribution that can still make the most of this GPU since I'm not ready to retire it just yet. I had considered Nobara because it focuses on gaming and is based on Fedora, which I'm familiar with. However, I've heard that it might not work well with the 1080Ti anymore. Does anyone have suggestions for good alternatives? I'd prefer to avoid Bazzite since I already have that on another machine and I'm looking for something new.

You might want to check out some Arch-based distributions like CachyOS or even vanilla Arch. While vanilla requires you to install the right driver from the AUR, it’s generally a better experience for hardware support.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into that option.
CachyOS is the new rising star and they offer a way to install legacy drivers that might work with your 1080Ti. It could be just what you need!

Yeah, I've heard installing from AUR can be a bit easier for older drivers. Definitely worth considering!
