I've mostly been using VMs and stuck with Kali Linux because it has all the tools I need pre-installed. However, I want to switch to Linux as my main OS and I tried Arch for its customizability, but it didn't really fit my pentesting needs. I think BlackArch is the solution since it has a ton of tools compared to Kali and retains the flexibility of Arch. I've already flashed the full BlackArch ISO onto a 32GB USB stick and I'm ready to install it manually. I'd love any tips or guidance from folks who have installed BlackArch from the ISO before!

Instead of a full install, you could run Kali or any distro in a distrobox and keep your favorite host OS without any VM overhead. It might simplify things for you!
You might want to check what specific tools were missing from Arch that you think BlackArch has. There might be some in the AUR or other Arch repos that could fill the gap!
They have a few ISOs on their site, but they recommend against using the full ISO—try the slim or netinstall instead. If you'd rather stick with Arch, you can also just add the BlackArch repo to your Arch setup and grab the tools you need from there!
It's actually recommended to install Arch first, then add the BlackArch repository before installing the packages you want. It gives you a bit more control like a manual install without strictly using the ISO.
