What’s the best way to upgrade my gaming PC with a $500 budget?

I'm looking to get the most value for my upgrade dollar with my current setup. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X CPU, Nvidia RTX 2060 Super GPU, a Sabrent Rocket 1TB NVMe SSD, and 16GB of G.SKILL Trident Z RAM. I also have two extra RAM sticks to install. I don't need to upgrade everything at once; I was considering either getting a new CPU and motherboard or upgrading my GPU. Any advice?

One approach could be:
1. Update your BIOS first.
2. Consider selling your current CPU and GPU to boost your budget by about $150-200. This could give you around $650-$700 to spend.
3. With that, get an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X for around $250.
4. Then, look for a used RTX 3070, which might cost about $250-300.
5. You could use any leftover cash to grab some extra RAM.
6. Enjoy your upgraded setup! 😊

Or why not sell your whole system and build a new one for about $1000 instead?
