I've gotten pretty good at using Figma, but now I've hit a bump in the road. A designer has sent me PSD files, and I'm unsure how to extract the necessary assets like colors, font sizes, backgrounds, border radii, shadows, opacities, and so on. Is there a solid workflow for dealing with PSDs, or am I just guessing my way through this? I'm feeling a bit lost, so any advice would be appreciated!

I've worked with PSDs for years, and the ease of extracting assets really depends on how well the designer organizes the layers. If everything's neatly done, getting the colors and assets becomes straightforward. For CSS, knowing your stuff is key. I had a partner who was a genius at translating designs to code, while I'd rely on my eye and tweak things in Chrome's dev tools until they felt right. Thankfully, we have better tools now than we did back then!
Thanks for sharing! I’m pretty clueless with Photoshop, so it’s reassuring to hear it’s not just me. Sounds like I should just do my best for now instead of stressing about mastering PSDs!
