Hey everyone, I'm considering upgrading to a 1440p monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate for FPS gaming. What size do you recommend? I'm leaning towards a 27-inch, but I'd love to hear your suggestions!

For those who like immersive gameplay, I'd suggest considering ultrawide monitors as well! I’ve gamed on a 34-inch ultrawide and it was a fantastic experience. A 27-inch feels small after using it, but your 3070 might struggle with ultrawide gaming unless you're looking to upgrade soon.

For 1440p, I think 27 inches is the sweet spot. Anything larger can be tough for fast-paced shooters, as you might find yourself moving your head too much to catch everything on screen. Plus, a 27-inch keeps the UI components easy to see without straining your eyes.

I was actually thinking about a 32-inch myself. Glad to know it's not the best for FPS games.

I have a 32-inch and it's been great for me, but I see your point about the movement. I've used a 27-inch before and like both sizes.

I always recommend 24 inches as a minimum, but 27 is still perfect for 1440p. I have a 27-inch monitor now, but honestly, I sometimes wish I had gone smaller since I have to dart my eyes around a lot.

It really depends on your setup! If your desk is deeper, a 32-inch could work, but if you're sitting close to it, a 27-inch may be easier to manage. Just be mindful of how frequently you check your peripherals; a smaller screen can be beneficial for competitive FPS to keep everything in view without turning your head too much.

If your budget allows, you might want to splurge on a 27-inch 1440p 240Hz OLED; those are awesome and priced around $500. Just make sure it fits your gaming setup.

My budget is more like $300-$350, so I'll have to pass on that for now!
