I'm currently a math student eager to pick up a coding language but feeling overwhelmed about where to begin. Could anyone give me some guidance on which programming language would be the best choice for me and why? I'm particularly interested in AI and SaaS but want to keep other options open as a backup.

I'd recommend starting with Python. It's really beginner-friendly and super popular in fields like AI and data science, plus it's handy for backend development too. It opens a lot of doors for you!

If you're looking at a more fundamental approach, consider C or C++. Some say it's worth learning the basics and core concepts first; once you get that down, transitioning to other languages becomes a lot easier.

For most applications, especially if you're focused on math, definitely go with Python. It has tons of cool libraries that are great for math (like numpy and matplotlib), plus that's where a lot of industry hiring happens right now. If you want to understand how computers work at a deeper level later on, you can tackle C when you're ready.

I think you should absolutely try Python first. It's a great starting point and can lead you to almost any coding field. Once you get comfortable, you can always diversify into more complex languages.

If aesthetics appeal to you, Typescript is also a beautiful option! Even though it might not be as widely recommended for beginners, it's still a strong language out there.
